Dr. Patty Champion is a graduate of Wilkes University with a degree in Biology and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994.		Dr. Andy Champion is a graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in Chemistry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994.		Dr. Steven Cress is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Biological Sciences and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2009. Stephen joined Champion Eye Center in October 2009.

Champion Eye Center doesn’t just want to get bigger; it also continues to get better. That’s why the addition of Dr. Steven Cress in October of 2009 has helped Drs. Andy and Patty Champion to expand the types of services that they offer.

When the Champions opened Champion Eye Center in Asheville in 1997, they began with locations in Asheville and Sylva. The Champions then opened a new office in Arden in 2006.

With the addition of Dr. Cress at the South Asheville office, Champion Eye Center has been able to expand its Saturday hours for the convenience of its patients. Dr. Cress specializes in multifocal and specialty lenses, so the South Asheville location of Champion Eye Center can expand the practice’s services in these areas.

Dr. Andy Champion is a graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994.

Dr. Patty Champion graduated from Wilkes University with a degree in Biology and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994. The Champions are long-standing members of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina State Optometric Society and the Mountain District Optometric Society.

Dr. Cress is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry. He specializes in ocular disease treatment and management of glaucoma, corneal disease and macular degeneration.
