Dr. Patty Champion is a graduate of Wilkes University with a degree in Biology and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994.		Dr. Andy Champion is a graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in Chemistry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994.		Dr. Susanne Kilgo is a graduate fo the University of Florida with a degree in Biology. She attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.  She was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1979.

When the Champions opened Champion Eye Center in Asheville in 1997, they began with locations in Asheville and Sylva. The Champions then opened a new office in Arden in 2006.

Dr. Andy Champion is a graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1994.

The Champions are long-standing members of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina State Optometric Society and the Mountain District Optometric Society.

Dr. Susanne Kilgo graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Biology. She attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.  She was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1979. She has served on the Henderson county Board of Public Health
