Dr. Mark Jacobs hails from the capital region of New York State, Schenectady, NY. As a young person athletics was a large part of his life. He competed in organized baseball, football and basketball. While in high school, Dr. Jacobs earned a letter for his active involvement in these team sports. Currently he limits his activities to what his skeletal system will allow. He enjoys walking, riding his bike and yoga.
Dr. Jacobs received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Jacobs and his wife Daria have two children, Olivia and Matthew. Dr. Jacobs enjoys listening to music, watching movies, being around animals and craft beer. |
Dr. Poznic was born and raised in Central Illinois. He moved to North Carolina in 2018 to complete his residency, during which he fell in love with the state. He recently moved to Asheville. Dr. Poznic is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the North Carolina Optometric Society.
Dr. Poznic completed his undergraduate degree at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. He then obtained his professional degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Following graduation, he completed a residency in ocular disease and primary care optometry at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. In his free time, Dr. Poznic enjoys spending time with friends and family, outdoor activities (especially running and hiking), live music, and traveling as much as possible. |
